What are your main publishing projects?
My main comix are: GFNTV which stands for Gente Feia na TV (Ugly People on TV), Vomitorama zine, Revista Prego, PORK magazine, Fem Dom and Rattenkonnig (Spain), and many others. Punk related: Ornitorrincos 7″ cover, Evil Idols Last Call record cover, flyers for lots of bands.

What are some of your artistic influences?
All the underground comix guys (Crumb, Williams, Wilson, Shelton), Brazilian artist Marcatti, MAD magazine, Hanna-Barbera cartoons, John Waters, and Brazilian TV in the ’80s (lots and lots of crazy shit).

Musical influences?
My big influences on my bass playing is Jeff Magnum from the Dead Boys, Lemmy (distorted, nasty sound), I also like Jah Wobble on PiL first record, like a heavy metal version of dub reggae. Also, my all time favourite band from my town is White Christian Disaster. They blew my mind when I was younger, introduced me to the power of DIY punk rock and still inspire me today.

How would you describe your style of drawing?
My style, as I put on the cover of some zine, is Hanna Barbarian—stupid cartoony drawings violated by all this dirt brutality that is living in a third world country.

What other punk projects are you involved with?
I play bass in Evil Idols and Vida Ruim and put out my own comics and zines on my own label called Bera Mosca. Over the years I played in lots of bands (Morte Asceta, Regime Tentaculo, Bruma, TBT, Jesus Mongoloide…) and helped at lots of gigs in my town. Today my main focus is on my art, so mostly I help with flyers, covers and art related stuff.

What’s in the future for you as a cartoonist/artist?
I’m putting together the second Vomitorama zine and just put out the second issue of Gente Feia na TV (in a comics magazine format). Now I’m preparing comics for other publications, the next issue of Prego magazine (a punk art/comix magazine) and with O Banheiro Selvagem, another crazy magazine of bad taste, dumb/genius.
