Monday Photo Blog: Zangree Garcia

March 23rd, 2015 by

For this Monday Photo Blog, Zangree Garcia from Mexico City sent over some photos of a couple recent shows in — where else? Mexico City! Live the chaos from your computer terminal. Don’t forget to check out the site zangree.wordpress.com  when you’re done ducking from the bosses, or coppers.

Send your tour photos, bands that have come through your town, the best of your local bands, etc. to: photoblog {at} maximumrocknroll(.)com. Include your name, a link to your website (or flickr, Facebook, or whatever), and the band (or subject), date and location of each photo. Just send your best photos — edit tightly. Three to seven photos is plenty, and it’s best to send pictures of different bands. Please do not send watermarked photos. Please make your photos 72 dpi and about 600–800 pixels at the longest side. Not everything sent in will be posted, and a response is not guaranteed, but we do appreciate all of your contributions. Feel free to submit more than once. Thanks!

Monday Photo Blog: Jussi Jänis

March 9th, 2015 by

It’s over to Finland for this Monday Photo Blog with Jussi Jänis. Five nice in the thick of the action photos that allow you to get a sense of the energy without having people in your space. What could be better? Well, Jussi also has a new photo book, which you can get for a mere $15 plus postage (that’s the part that hurts, but aren’t you hardcore? What’s a little pain when you’re punk as fuck?). Send an e-mail to rabbitsfoot(a)mail.com (you will have to add the @ yourself, I don’t want to have Jussi get hit with a bunch of spam from all the lurking crawling trolling for your information systems that pervade our interwebs).

Monday Photo Blog: The Return of Carlos Idrovo

February 23rd, 2015 by

It has been about a year since we last heard from Carlos Idrovo at the Monday Photo Blog. But that’s not to say he hasn’t been busy, and besides, he probably has a life and doesn’t hover on the net like some folks do. Here’s three from the Tupa Tupa Extremo show in Quito, Ecuador.

Monday Photo Blog: Frank Ramírez

February 16th, 2015 by

Frank Ramírez, from Lima, joins us at the  Monday Photo Blog with some local action, and one of a touring band from Portland, or PDX, if you think in shorthand. UK’82, Riot City studs and spikes is a world wide thing that just keeps on going and going and going. If you want to see more from Frank, ask a punk, or get on a plane and go to Lima. Let us know how it goes if you do.
