Then we take a wild trip up and down the West Coast with a CONDITION tour diary, we talk with Todd Greene of Clearview Records about the label’s roster (which included DROPDEAD, DAG NASTY, JAWBREAKER and SCREECHING WEASEL, to name a few), no-frills HC ragers HERO DISHONEST from Finland share impressions from their recent US tour, and HELVETIN VIEMÄRIT from Brazil analyze why they love Finnish hardcore so damn much! Next, VIOLENT PARTY discusses their new record and relocation to Portland, we get introduced to budding Stockton PV/fastcore band MALCOLM, we have have an impressive Brno, Czech Republic scene report, a photo spread from Finland’s Puntala-Rock fest, and a killer Halloween cover by Ruben Dahlstrand made specially for your visual indulgence. We are a contributor-driven publication, which means that we rely on punks like you to fill our pages. This is your magazine! You don’t need an invitation to be a part of what we do.
For review and radio play consideration, send two copies of vinyl or one copy of CD- or cassette-only releases to PO Box 460760, San Francisco, CA 94146, USA. Send us the final version of your record—we do not review digital releases, test presses, or promo CDs. All tapes and CD-Rs are reviewed in the Demos section.
We will review everything that falls within our areas of coverage: independent punk, garage, and hardcore. This means no major labels or labels that are exclusively distributed by major-owned distributors. We reserve the right to reject releases on the basis of content. Music without vocals or drums will not be considered.
Every record that is reviewed is added to our archive, the largest collection of punk records in the world. Please allow two months from your mailing date before following up to ask if we’ve received your submission.
We are always looking for interview, scene report, guest column, and photo submissions. Submission does not guarantee publication. In order to improve the chances of your submission being printed, please read our FAQ.
In addition to records, we also review independently published and produced zines, books, and movies. Please send physical copies to PO Box 460760, San Francisco, CA 94146, USA. If you have a streaming link to your film, or if it is playing in the San Francisco Bay Area, please email the information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We rely on distributors to help us reach punks all over the world. Our distros come in all shapes and sizes, from the large companies that sell to newsstands and chain bookshops to a punk who sets up a box on a table at a show. As long as you know people who are interested in reading MRR you too can successfully distribute the magazine! If you have suggestions for places that we should contact about carrying the magazine, get in touch.

If you are interested in carrying the magazine, write to us with the desired quantity, a shipping address, and your Paypal email address. We send money requests for payment once a month, prior to shipping.
We encourage international distributors to set up subscription services in their city or country. Splitting the wholesale costs of magazines between a group of friends is much more affordable than ordering subscriptions directly from us.
