Today’s Monday Photo Blog entry comes from Perm, Russia. This little introduction to Perm came with a healthy batch of great photos:

PermCityPunk is a young punk-hardcore scene. It was born in Perm in 2004. Then it was set the first DIY gig with Perm groups Frenzied Kids (RIP) and Linoleum. For a long time these groups had been “the flagships” of our scene. Linoleum are still alive and please us with new ska-core hits and now. Since these early years when concerts were held,  the scene has grown, both quantitatively and qualitatively. All together we went through a series of closed underground concerts (this was due to the threat of the Nazis), but our doors are open for a new generation of punks / skinheads / hardcore kids. In addition to the Perm groups at concerts PermCityPunk invites live bands from Izhevsk, Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Ufa, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novgorod, as well as guests from Finland, France, and Germany. We are not standing at one place, the geography is expanding.

For the 4th year in a row in summer we hold an independent DIY Open Air in the wood. We gave it a name – PUNKROCKLINE, which helps to gather together different groups, guys from the nearest regions and other big cities.

Recently we organized  a concert of German band from Berlin, At Daggers Dawn. The gig, as usual was held in a friendly atmosphere and general merriment-that can be judged from photos.
