Reason for forming:
I just need to hear about gross things or I will die it’s a medical condition.
What are your lyrics about?
Do most of your days end alone in a blighted slime field of limitless screens? Trapped in police container hell world twiddling your thumbs in the waiting room of human extinction? Why not try the chaos approach?

baby bitch gremlins who love hardcore.

We’re putting out a demo tape this summer. We will tour next winter and probably do a short west coast tour sooner.

We wanted to have a band that could be fun and sing about stupid punk stuff, but still have the ambition to be active and tour.
What are your lyrics about?
Our lyrics are about partying, pogo, looking punk, and how hipsters with rolled up toques are ruining punk.
How would you describe your sound?
Raw pogo.

West Coast tour with WKSJ? in July 2016 and Brazil in winter 2017.

Interlocked bass and drum rhythms paired with shrill guitar counterpoint and stark female vocals.
What’s in the future for this band?

Band name:
N.E.G.
Date & location formed:
Philadelphia, March 2016.
Reason for forming:
I had a huge urge to put together a d-beat band after I got off tour with my last punk project, but didn’t want to be the average raw noise band or anything, so I focused on trying to fuse the mosh-centric riffs of Hoax with standard noisy d-beat stuff. I began assembling a crew of people which eventually evolved into the current lineup of N.E.G., but it took some time and numerous lineup changes.
-Kody
What are your lyrics about?
The lyrics are about frustration. Both frustration with myself and being a piece of shit, and frustration with the world around me and it being a piece of shit. They also try to convey some vague political ideals, like anti-war/anti-system kinds of things but that’s mostly cause I can’t blame myself all the time.
-Matt
How would you describe your sound?
We take a lot of influence from newer bands, who basically just ripped off older bands. We really look at Hoax, Impalers, Absolut, and a bunch of others. Just like, slightly noisey, distorted, kinda fast d-beat, with some weird mosh parts to get people movin’ and freaked out guitar leads.
What’s in the future for this band?
We have tapes releasing on Cruel Noise Records from Pittsburgh, a potential 7″ release later this year, a tour in June, and a plan for a bigger tour later on. More riffing, more yelling… Things have been coming along extremely fast, it’s been a blessing.
