Whoa! How did we not know about this one before?
Punk in Love came out in Indonesia about a year ago, but it looks like there’s still no English subtitled version. Maybe that’s OK though ’cause it seems so corny that it might be best to make up your own dialog. This sentence, culled from Film Asia‘s synopsis of the movie, probably tells you as much as you need to know about the plot:
“With just adequate money and punk hairstyle as their trademark, the four friends make a trip to Jakarta and their mission is to prevent Maia’s wedding to Andra from happening.”

Anyone for a low budget american remake?
hello… hemf… punk in love it’s suck, as you know in here (indonesia) the mainstream media try to look what is they use for profit, and in here we had one punk rock band who involve in that movie and the first time they said “love is fool” but they guys join for making the scrips too. if you guys want to know about punk in indonesia i think you guys must coming here.. and it’s look like different like the movie….
lol.. though the film may not represent the actual punk scene in Indonesia.. overall, it’s a sweet light hearted comedy, presented in the Javanese native language.. which makes me miss my hometown more..
