Ugh. This makes me sad. You’ve done a fantastic job over the years, Layla. I’m sure you have your reasons for leaving and I (and others) wish you well. You’ll be horribly missed. I’m glad I got to hear your imitation of crash car style Djing (ha, ha) on MRR radio #1228. It was cute and fun. Good luck.
I will still be working on the magazine, writing my column/reviews/demonstrating my masterful DJ skills (bear in mine I have honed those since starting with MRR radio in 2003-it takes YEARS to get to my level!!)/interviewing bands and thinking up content for the magazine-I just need to take a break-coordinating MRR is pretty much all I do, and I want to play music/hang out with my friends/and so forth. The business side of MRR is pretty stressful, we are always hangin on by a thread in terms of finances and it sort of wears down on you… I will have been coordinating for three years, and it’s been a good run but it’s time for some new blood!
How do you survive? by the way/apart from punkadee rocka, i am opinionated but maybe inept, could be an adventure
