A split LP by two savage Italian bands, NEGAZIONE and the late DECLINO, this originally appeared as a split tape in ’84. Highly energetic thrash with charged political lyrics. Dynamite stuff, and COR’s done a service by releasing it.
Utterly frenzied, like most Italian bands DECLINO utilizes a guitar sound which is somewhat less full than the typical power-chord thrash approach. Song quality varies from cut to cut, but the best material (like the live version of “Vita”) shows the class of this distinctive outfit. Committed and often pleasing.
DECLINO present an EP’s worth of powerful thrash with sound political lyrics. The guitar could have been recorded louder, but the songs have flair and the band is exceptionally tight. In sum, the best Italian hardcore outfit since INDIGESTI.
