Hungry for What Dashed Hopes and Pure Delight LP
This album is a bit lighter than the previous, though it contains the same early punk mix of pop-punk and ska punk, Reminds a lot of middle-period CLASH. Pretty slick.

Combining tracks from their LP and 12″ (released in Europe), this domestic LP introduces their pop-punk sound to American audiences. From Switzerland (originally in a 70’s punk band SOZZ), these guys combine power and great tunes into an early CLASH-like sound. Excellent.
HUNGRY FOR WHAT’s approach is molded by ’77 punk, but a certain sleekness of production imparts a contemporary feel to their songs. There’s some good music here; still, H.F.W. see-saw between moments of power and a sedate professionalism, with the latter winning out in most cases. A strong, yet unmoving release.
Pure second album CLASH-type melodic politico-punk. I think you know that I’m describing. They do the genre well.
