Justice League Reach Out 12″

With the exception of one song, this record is comprised of five slow/medium tempo melodies and, when mixed with the sappy vocals, it becomes obvious that power was compromised for a very clean mainstream sound. It seems the riffs and emotions were made secondary to production. I can’t help but compare this band to a tame, underground version of the SMITHS. I would “reach out,” but there is simply nothing for my ears to hold on to.

Justice League Shattered Dreams LP

The long awaited release from this SoCal band proves to be, for the most part, a strong release that shows growth and change. Musically, the music contains powerful HC melodies at a mid-tempo pace, with chanting choruses and simple structures.

Justice League Think or Sink EP

More in the current wave of “positive” HC bands owing most to 7 SECONDS and MINOR THREAT. And, as the title implies, the impetus is to think before acting, set to a driving mid-to-fast tempo. Good effort.
