A good double-billed 7″. The INSANE offer a mid-tempo number with a wall of guitars and a great singalong chorus; the SKEPTIX’ cut alternates between slow-building parts and thrash. Worthy material and hot production make this a winner.
A great, great record. Both sides start with long slow punk intros, then launch into powerful thrash. This is especially true of the A-side, which breaks on through into the manic. I love it.
Disappointing. The sound is certainly heavy enough, but it’s too slow to keep up with their first thrash EP. Thematically sound but musically average, and I could do without another version of the HEARTBREAKERS’ “Chinese Rocks.”
