Monday Photo Blog: Budget Rock RIP edition
This past weekend marked the end of the Bay Area’s Budget Rock Fest. Ten years into it and Chris Owen, Mitch Cardwell and the whole gang wisely decided to pack it in. Don’t get me wrong — I’ve had plenty of fun at Budget Rock, but it’s good to see someone call it a day while they’re going on strong rather than dragging it out, you know? So, with that in mind, I thought I’d post a few shots from this year’s blow-out and a few hits/misses from the past few years too.
We’ve got a nice backlog of submissions — we’ll be getting them up soon! But keep ’em coming! The more, the better.
Send your tour photos, bands that have come through your town, the best of your local bands, or something like this to: photoblog@maximumrocknroll.com. Include your name, the band, where and when it was shot, and a link to your website (or flickr, Facebook, or whatever). Just send your best photos — edit tightly. Three to five photos is plenty, and it’s best to send pictures of different bands. Please do not send watermarked photos. We like to exercise a little quality control here…not everything sent in will be posted. Please make your photos 72 dpi and about 600—800 pixels at the longest side. Thanks!
