BODY PARTY

Date & location formed:
January 2016, Philadelphia.

Reason for forming:
All of us wanted to try something new, half the band was new to their instruments but all enjoyed playing.

What are your lyrics about?
A mix of nihilistic self-reflecting stuff, political statements, and just straight up talkin’ shit.

How would you describe your sound?
A lot of noise and chaos with underlying groovy drum beats.

What’s in the future for this band?
Well, I think currently we’re all trying to figure out what we want for the next project. We’ve made a lot of changes, constantly wanting to construct our sound in a way we all like, and make the best stuff we can. Eventually we’ll be releasing a 10-12 song record, either late 2016 or early 2017. We’re all looking forward to it and we’re all pretty confident that it is a big step up from the demo, with some good changes.

First practice was January, 2016. first show was April.

Reason for forming:
PJ wrote a demo worth of material he had been sitting on for a while.

What are your lyrics about?
Being a fish in jail, bed bugs, war.

How would you describe your sound?
Early Swedish hc punk, middle era Varukers.

What’s in the future for this band?
Recording a 7″ in October.

Richmond VA, Around 2 years ago.

Reason for forming:
Sonic camaraderie. The NSA was listening so we turned the noise on. Slump is deafening delinquency that has taken this form of fuckery. The right members showed up at the right place at the right time, we’re just going with it.

What are your lyrics about?
Avoiding smug Rhetoric, we all feel a tension, a estranged urgency.

How would you describe your sound?
Broody scrambled grey matter.

Reason for forming:
Our friends heard we were sitting on a few demos and booked a show for us without our permission.

What are your lyrics about?
You tell us.

How would you describe your sound?
More night time than afternoon.

What’s in the future for this band?
Cassette edition of the self-titled ep available in Europe via Paris label Gone With The Weed soon. Recording new material at Oakland’s Secret Bathroom Studios for a new release soon. Pacific Northwest tour soon.

Formed early 2015 winter in south side shitcago.

Reason for forming:
To play what we wanted to hear and being bored the fuck outta our minds with shit that was going around.

What are your lyrics about?
Nihilism, Depression, Being a fuck, Pig suckers, State control.

How would you describe your sound?
Raw Hardcore Punk influenced mostly by 80’s EU and Latino hcpunk bands.

What’s in the future for this band?
Try to put a record out hopefully, maybe another demo & splits with bands from south Asia.

NARB

Date & location formed:
We were formed May of 2016 in McAllen, TX (RGV).

Reason for forming:
Pace: me and Tj had just got out of a band and wanted to be in a new one already, Jessie hadn’t been in a band for a while and wanted to start one, and Nelson had just started learning bass so it just made sense especially because we all wanted the same sound. We met up for practice and made our first three songs.

What are your lyrics about?
Hating yourself, hating others, hating cops, and drinking chlorine.

How would you describe your sound?
NARB-y B)

What’s in the future for this band?
We are having a tape release show for our new EP on October 27th which will also be available on our bandcamp the same day. Other than that we just plan making more music and going on a west coast tour in January.
