Battalion of Saints Fighting Boys 12″

Fast heavy metal punk with good political lyrics. The tunes are strong, but there’s a bit too much lead guitar wanking for my taste, especially on “I’m Gonna Make You Scream.” Still, it’s a promising debut.

Battalion of Saints Second Coming LP

Was it worth the wait? Fuck yes, says I! Song after song kicks ass with a metal-punk sound that doesn’t teeter over too far into lame guitar sololand. Lots of power, a tight delivery, and especially intense vocals add to a great release from the BATS.
