IOWA BEEF EXPERIENCE utilize mid-tempo HC and a gritty guitar approach to anchor a fairly generic set of songs on this EP. Energy is high, but originality in songwriting seems to be largely absent. Powerful sound, though.
An unexpected pleasure, this debut vents out a demented, ugly vertigo that uses LIVE SKULL and RAT AT RAT R as a starting point but along the way still spits out an excited hardcore industrial din.
The kind of record Jello would appreciate—really quirky, jazzy, thrashy, experimental punk. While not imitative of MINUTEMEN in any way, said band’s fans should be able to relate to this.
Distinctive, nasal vocal meld with a gritty instrumental sound not unlike a cross between BLACK FLAG and traditional fast-and-loud HC. The result is unique and effective a fair proportion of the time, though consistency isn’t S.D.T.’s strong suit. Aggressive and loud.
